Phosphorous acid uses

Phosphorous acid is widely used as a reducing agent and nylon whitening agent, and also
serves as a raw material for phosphite salts and an intermediate in the production of
organophosphorus pesticides. It is a key feedstock for manufacturing phosphite products,
plastic stabilizers (such as dibasic lead phosphite), and organophosphorus agrochemicals.
Additionally, it acts as a stabilizer in polycarbonate production and an antioxidant for nylon
1010.

It is also applied as a chemical reagent and in water treatment processes. In analytical
chemistry, it is used for the determination of mercury, gold, silver, and lead, as well as
for reducing purposes and the detection of iodic acid, copper, and cadmium. Industrially,
